On Saturday 28th September we held our Matchplay Finals Day which is the climax of the matchplay tournaments we hold throughout the summer months and it was a fantastic day of golf!
Burstwick takes over Close House at Captain’s Away Weekend
Last weekend our Men’s Captain Martin Gill took a 42-strong crowd from Burstwick to the home of Lee Westwood, Close House Golf Club.
The scene was set for a great weekend as we turned up to one of my favourite golf complexes. If you’ve never been to Close House before I would very much encourage you to go - it’s absolutely fantastic.
Martin Gill’s Europe romp to Victory at Burstwick Cup
Last weekend we hosted one of the most popular events in our calendar - The Burstwick Cup! This is a Ryder Cup style event where players are selected for team Europe and USA and are pitted against each other in matchplay over the course of the weekend.
Burstwick gets into East Riding Winter Alliance
We have achieved a very proud milestone at the club recently as we were accepted into the East Riding Winter Alliance, this joins our membership to the Hull & District Alliance and Humber Alliance which we have been members of for some time.
Wedge Fitting busier than ever at the Matt Daley Golf Academy
As we have been building our ever-improving academy we have invested heavily into club fitting, and our latest addition are fitting kits for the brand new Callaway OPUS wedges and Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges.
Celebrate Burstwick’s 20th anniversary with us!
On Saturday 17th August 2024 we are hosting out 20th Anniversary Party and we’d love you to be there! It’s been 20 years since we opened the golf course and we are celebrating with a night of great food, drinks and fun at the club.
Greens running as good as they ever have
The team have been working extra hard on the greens over the past year and alongside the new greensmower giving us a beautifully even cut, the results are some of the truest and quickest greens we have seen at Burstwick.
Daley ties 3rd place at Europe’s largest PGA Pro-Am!
On Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th July Matt Daley attended Europe’s largest PGA Pro-Am at the K-Club in Ireland, with a team of Burstwick members Lee Hewitt, Jason Hewitt and Gary Atkin and they had a fantastic two days golfing!
December Christmas Parties now confirmed
We are hosting Christmas Party Nights on Saturday 7th, Saturday 14th and Saturday 21st December 2024. With a full house and live entertainment, our Christmas Party Nights are the perfect way to celebrate with your friends, colleagues or family.

7 Day membership waiting list continues at Burstwick
Currently we have a waiting list of 75 people for 7 Day memberships and we are only letting new members join when a space comes free due to a member not renewing.

We have had over 40 divot bags go missing from the club since the start of last year, and we would like our members to have a look in their golf bag, car or home to see if they have any that they have forgotten to return.

Junior Summer Camp at the Matt Daley Golf Academy
We are running junior groups throughout the summer holidays.
The sessions include fun games, golf skills, friendship and will include getting out on the golf course as much as possible!

Last week our Head Professional Matt Daley hosted his annual golf day which raises funds for the junior section of his golf academy.
With 40 teams attending the day on Saturday 22nd June it promised to be another very busy day at the club, and the weather was absolutely stunning all day.
