Daley ties 3rd place at Europe’s largest PGA Pro-Am!

On Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th July 2024 Matt Daley attended Europe’s largest PGA Pro-Am at the K-Club in Ireland, with a team of Burstwick members Lee Hewitt, Jason Hewitt and Gary Atkin! One hundred teams consisting of three amateurs and one professional competed in a team Stableford competition over 36 holes split between the previous Ryder Cup venue’s two championship courses, Palmer North and Palmer South.

With a huge prize fund of €100,000 this event attracted some of the very elite club professionals from the UK and Ireland, and the event was capped to 100 teams. Daley, who has had some great results already this year, with his team had to endure some very tough conditions as the weather was seemingly typical of a recent british summer - very wet and windy!

Despite the very difficult conditions Matt shot two rounds of 2 under par to shoot -4 total, placing him tied 3rd for the tournament! What a fantastic result!

Matt’s team also finished third on a score of 179 points which is also brilliant. Flying the Burstwick flag abroad, well done gents!
