Pro Sports Cars help create a memorable day at Pro-Am
Last Friday we hosted our flagship event of the year, the Annual Pro-Am sponsored by Pro Sports Cars.
Pro Sports Cars brought some fantastic cars along to showcase their brand including an Audi Q8, BMW X5 and Land Rover Defender, which were all located near the first tee and putting green.
The total prize pot for the event was close to £7,000 including a top prize for professionals of £1,000, and amateur prizes of around £3,000. We had 38 teams come to the event which meant that the day was extremely busy, and fortunately the weather was very kind to us with the sun out all day and just a slight breeze on the course.
Each team had complimentary range balls, which were sponsored by GRT7V Promotions, meaning they could get some practice before their important first tee shot to the par 4 first hole.
Conditions were very scorable with Joe Coyle and Simon Lilly both shooting course record equalling scores of 62 (-8)! Unbelievable golf from these two young professionals to share the top spot. The winning team (Pro-Sports Cars!) shot 24 under par and won by three shots to take the main amateur prize.
The halfway house, which was sponsored by Misty’s Patisserie, was very well received by all of the golfers and included some delicious, fresh baked treats!
The day was finished with a lovely two course meal and a few beers in the restaurant before a presentation to the winners. Congratulations to all that won a prize and thank you to everyone that supported the event, especially to Pro Sports Cars who helped us make the event so successful! They really pulled out all the stops to make the day a very memorable one for all the players.
