Burstwick Juniors do South Holderness Technology College Proud
Three Burstwick junior members represented South Holderness Technology College in the Yorkshire Schools Golf Association tournament and did themselves very proud with some great results!
Jack Maxey, Harry Giles and Lewis Hunt (left-to-right) competed at Malton and Norton Golf Club in the North & East region qualifiers, and the team of three managed a great performance, winning the East division for South Holderness TC.
This results qualified the school for the Yorkshire Finals, where the top two schools would go on to compete in the National Finals.
The three boys competed in the Yorkshire Finals at Lowlaithes Golf Club in Pontefract, and missed on on qualification by a slender margin of just three shots.
Our Junior Captain Lewis said that although they were disappointed to have not made the national finals, they were felt like they did their school and also Burstwick very proud by achieving what they did. We agree, it's fantastic news that these lads are doing so well, and with continued work on their game we know they'll have an even better chance to go further next year!
