Golf course back open after record rain in October
The average rainfall for our region in October is 80mm over the course of the month, but this year we saw over 180mm fall onto the course in this time.
The Captain’s Raffle has been drawn!
Thank you to everyone who supported John Ward’s 2023 Captain’s Raffle, which was drawn last Wednesday at the Quiz Night we held in conjunction for Humber Eco Fest.
Club V1 Scoring Input & Leaderboard
We have now installed a new touchscreen computer in the clubhouse entrance foyer where we will be asking players to put their scores in when entering competitions before submitting their scorecards in the black box.
New Course Record
The club would like to congratulate Lewis Hunt on breaking the amateur course record for the club, with a fantastic score of 64 off the white tees last Thursday, in a strokeplay competition.
Let there be light!
We have now finally got lighting to our entrance! It’s been nearly a year since we built the entrance but we’ve had some issues along the way getting electric to them for lighting. Well we have finally rectified those issues and the walls look fantastic!
Club Championship rearranged to 16th & 17th September
With the poor weather over the last weekend we regrettably took the decision to postpone our Club Championship. We apologise to those affected by the decision and hope that you can understand that the inclement conditions forced our hand with this.

We have created some handicap conversion tables for all of the formats that we play at Burstwick, for each of the measured tees!

Last week our Head Professional Matt Daley hosted his annual golf day which raised over £1,500 for the junior section and golf academy!
Burstwick welcomes the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs
Today we are hosting a Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs Members’ Meeting at Burstwick and 170 golfers from all over the county will be coming to play the course.
Bunkers topped up with 35 tonnes of sand
This week our team have been hard at work topping greenside bunkers up with sand. Some 35 tonnes of sand has been distributed to over 45 greenside bunkers and they are lookin great for it!

Four Pros tie at 3 under in Pro Sports Cars Pro-Am 2023
On Friday 26th May we hosted our most high profile event of the year - our Annual Pro-Am. With headline sponsor Pro Sports Cars by our side we knew the event was going to be as big as ever, and we were determined to give our 42 teams a great day.
Great day out for the Junior golfers of the Matt Daley Golf Academy
On Saturday we hosted the first of a variety of junior development competitions at the club to give the players from the Matt Daley Academy a chance to test themselves in a competitive yet fun and relaxing environment!

Last Friday we held the 10th anniversary of the Smile Foundation Golf Day with Santander and it was a huge success!
Mens Invitation Day - Saturday 24th June 2023

The club needs your help battling air pollution from the nearby concrete block factory.
Volunteer Night - Thursday 25th May 2023
We are hosting a Volunteer Night next Thursday evening at 6pm, with the task of reseeding divots on tees, also known as "divotting". What this will involve is using a bucket and hand scoop to spread a rootzone and seed mix on the tees. We will also be tidying up bunkers and repairing pitchmarks.
