Chris Kemp beats the Club Captain to win the Masters Par 3 event!

Masters Par 3 Competition

Thank you to the 69 players who played in the Masters Par 3 Competition at Burstwick yesterday afternoon. It was a great turn out in some grey but fairly benign weather.

With a total of 1,078 yards for the nine holes most players won’t have needed much more than a mid iron in the bag, but thanks to a cool wind many of the holes were playing much different to their written yardage.

The format was a strokeplay with 20% handicap allowance, and the scores were very tight at the top, with just three shots separating the 15 best cards.

Prizes went to the top 8 players and it was Chris Kemp who climbed to the summit of the pile with a great score of 26 (-1) net, to beat Lee Sargeson on countback!
