On Thursday 16th January our 2024 Seniors’ Captain Bryan Cobbold volunteered himself to do a sponsored Sleep-Out at Paull Fort raising funds for his chosen charity Hull4Heroes!

When Bryan said he was sleeping out, he meant he was sleeping under a single tarpaulin sheet in just a sleeping bag, in honour of Armed Forces Veterans who end up finding themselves in difficulty after retiring from their post and sometimes even homeless.

On the evening, the temperatures dipped to around freezing, with a “feels like” temperature of minus 4! He was accompanied by Burstwick members Mike Bonning and Brian Sellers, who stayed with him through the night and luckily the camp fire they built helped them stay a little warmer through the night.

In total Bryan and his friends raised over £1,000 for the local charity which was a fantastic feat for a well-deserved cause, but donations can still be made below!
