Kris Medd wins Masters Par 3 event!
Thank you to the 60 players who played in the Masters Par 3 Competition at Burstwick yesterday afternoon. It was a great turn out despite some difficult weather and the threat of what seems like Burstwick’s daily monsoon.
With a total of 1,078 yards for the nine holes most players won’t have needed much more than a mid iron in the bag, but thanks to a cool wind many of the holes were playing much different to their written yardage.
The format was a strokeplay with 20% handicap allowance, and the scores were very tight at the top, with just three shots separating the eight best cards.
Prizes went to the top six players and it was Kris Medd who climbed to the summit of the pile with a great score of 24 (-3) net.
