Burstwick Charity Golf Marathons raising over £1500
We would like to proudly tell everyone about recent charity golf marathons that have happened at Burstwick by our members which have been very successful in raising money for some very deserving charities.
Firstly our Lady Captain Jayne McEachran and fellow lady member Mandy Roberts completed 80 holes for the Captains’ Charity, The Daniel Wilkinson Foundation, last Wednesday. They dress up in some lovely (and bright!) gear and completed the challenge while being joined by other lady members along the way. They have raised over £900 for this fantastic feat!
The second one was our Assistant Professional Luke Bell and 3 other members Callum Stuart, Steve Beaumont and Joe Sherwood completed 100 holes on Friday for Prostate Cancer UK, this was a very grueling day and many blisters were witnessed! They managed to raised in excess of £800 for the charity too!
We have also had various other members attempting their own golf marathons and we are proud of every one of you!
