Over £350 raised for Captain’s Charity at the Drive-In!
Our four 2022 Captains hosted their Drive-In on Saturday and it was a huge success. Men’s Captain Nigel Colley, Ladies’ Captain Laura Key, Senior Captain Stuart Jones and Junior Captain Ashton Webb all tee’d off in front of a 30-strong crowd at 8am, signifying the start of their captaincies.
The format of the day was a Texas Scramble event in which 25 teams entered, and conditions were tough as the wind soon got up through the morning.
Back in the clubhouse in the afternoon the outgoing Men’s Captain Steve Alger presented Nigel with his 2022 Captain’s jacket, and the first Captain’s raffle of the year was drawn.
Nigel had some fantastic prizes donated for the raffle which was raising money for his chosen Captain’s Charity - Prostate Cancer UK.
Plenty of great prizes were given out and a total of £350 was raised to kick-start Nigel’s year!
