Burstwick Cup Postponed

It is with regret that the Captain, Vice Captain and the club have decided to postpone the Burstwick Cup in light of the recent news that Alan and two green staff have tested positive for COVID. None of the other staff are affected, and have been continually testing themselves, and they have been extra careful to clean all touch points in the clubhouse, but we feel that that it would look wrong of the club to choose hold such a busy event with a meal afterwards, at this time when some members who are due to play may not be comfortable.

We will be in touch soon with a new date, probably in October, and all those who were down to play this event will be contacted in due course.

The clubhouse will remain open (though hours may be changed, this is still up in the air), and tee times have been freed up on both days to let people play in the fun competitions that were already in place.

Apologies for the disappointment, but we feel this is the most sensible thing to do at this time.

We hope you all understand it's a very difficult time for the club and Captains, and this decision has not been taken lightly.
