COURSE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

It is with regret that we have had to close the course inline with government directions this evening due to the growing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is an extreme measure, but a needed one. We realise that golf courses were considered “safe” places due to the open air nature of the sport, but in reality we were kidding ourselves. COVID-19 spreads like wildfire and may kill people we know - and we MUST do something to stop it.

Right now golf is not a priority - our families’, friends’ and colleagues’ health is. We need to all pull together to beat this as a nation, and extreme precautions like this are necessary.

For the next three weeks, stay at home with your families, only go out when you absolutely need to, obey the government rules, and we will see you on the course again soon - golf will wait and the course will still be here.

We understand that our members will have many questions in regards to their memberships and we will be having various discussions between ourselves and other golf clubs, as well as taking advice from England Golf in order to find a fair and reasonable solution that benefits everyone. We will update everyone as soon as we make progress on this and thank you for your patience at this difficult time for the club.
