Coronavirus Update Tuesday 17th March 2020
Coronavirus Update - Tuesday 17th March 2020
After careful consideration with the current threat of the COVID-19 virus, the club has taken the decision to remain open at this time, but advise all of our clients to please be careful and do the following:
-
Wash your hands as often as possible - for 20 seconds at a time, we have hand soap available at all of our sinks.
-
Be mindful of everything you touch – contamination can be avoided by being smart and every little helps.
-
Make provisions – where possible be prepared for self-isolation if you or anyone around you suffers from the COVID symptoms such as continual coughing, a high temperature or breathing issues.
-
If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms under the latest government guidelines you should self-isolate for 14 days. If you live with anyone else the advice is to isolate themselves too.
When playing on the golf course
We advise the following when playing on the golf course:
-
Leave the flag in, take “gimmes” where possible
-
Touch only your own golf ball
-
Try to play in pairs or singles rather than fourballs if possible
-
Keep hand gels with you and tissues to prevent coughs or sneezes from spreading the disease
-
Try to keep a distance from other players (6-10 feet)
-
Do not shake hands after the round or after good shots
-
Wash your hands for 20 seconds before and after the round
These guidelines are dated so that if we release new guidelines or rules, they will automatically supersede any previous.
The situation is changing rapidly - we are monitoring all news outlets, as well as taking advice from governing bodies to provide the safest course of action for our members and clients. We ask everyone to remain vigilant and sensible at this very serious time.
